The DC825KA features a frameless motor, a durable magnesium gear case, and an all metal transmission to extend the tool's overall life and durability. It is also built in a compact and comfortable size; this light weight and compact design allows access into tighter areas as well as reducing user fatigue weighing only 4.6lbs. DEWALT has also added an anti-slip comfort grip for superior control and comfort. The driver delivers a forceful 1,330 in/lbs of torque to better perform a wide range of fastening applications; the tool also packs serious driving power and a heavy-duty impacting mechanism to direct that power to fasteners as well as reduce kickback. Running at 0-2,400 RPM and 0-2,700 IPM the driver is capable of much faster, tougher driving applications.

When they first came out years ago, impact drivers were very popular in Japan but it took a while for Americans to realize what a terrific advantage impact drivers have over an electric drill when it comes to driving long screws into wood, especially decking.
